Hardbite – Turkey Stuffing

I see Hardbite doing seasonally relevant flavours and I am instantly drawn in. I haven’t seen this before so maybe I’m just new to the party but turkey stuffing seems like a very seasonally fall and winter flavour. It evokes images of sitting around a large table enjoying a nice family dinner.

There have been plenty of products that have some form of stuffing or another in the flavour, but none of them really caught my eye. Or at least, none of them seem appetizing to me. But here Hardbite comes along with it in the form of a potato chip and I find myself thinking, maybe that would work. Worst case scenario I still have a solid potato chip, right?

Smells like Christmas dinner.

Of all the flavours that Hardbite has done, this is probably one of the more vibrant and flavourful ones. A lot of their flavours tend to be more natural and as a result, more tame and subtle. This one is punchy and comes in hot, taking no hostages. The flavour reminds me of a roast chicken flavour I had as a kid from some other unknown brand I can no longer recall. The flavour is sweet, and apart from the obvious onion and garlic notes, the other noticeable and more distinct flavour is of the herbs, likely rosemary and sage. Maybe some thyme? Either way it’s got a distinct herb flavour that I really enjoy, but I can see some people may not appreciate as much. It’s what contributes so much to this flavour being stronger and more punchy.

These are caked in herbs.

Hardbite textures are largely ubiquitous by now, but for those unfamiliar, it’s true to it’s name. The chips are thick and have a hard, satisfying crunch to them. It may not be for everyone, but for those who like a big crunch and potentially risk lock jaw, Hardbite is one of the brands you go for. This is no different from their other offerings, which in this case is a good thing. Trust me.

This flavour is a bit of a departure from what I’m used to, given that Hardbite usually has a less powerful, more mild flavour. In this instance though I think it works out just fine and delivers a final product I wouldn’t mind getting again. I wouldn’t get this all the time though, since the strong herb flavours might get boring after a while, but certainly worthy of at least once a year.

That’s a surprising amount of fiber.

zbearviking

From the frigid, majestic North (Canada), hails a creature like no other. Is it a bear that took up viking-ing? Or a viking that turned into a bear? Perhaps it is beyond human comprehension what the creature truly is, much like Bigfoot or Nessie. What we do know, is that much like everything else in the universe, it is made of star stuff.
